As part of our long-term partnership with the European neuroscience initiative EBRAINS we're happy to send our specialists Teodora and Adrian to Florence, Italy – working as digital twin mentors for the AccelNet Summer school on Human Data Management and Modelling/AI.
The AccelNet Summer school runs from June 15 to 28 at the University of Florence.
The courses are structured around scientific projects that will be developed by the students during the summer school:
- Digital Brain Twins
- Data
- Large Brain Models
- Brain-Computer Interfaces
- AI & Synthetic Data & EBRAINS Infrastructure
- Hands-on project-based workshop
Dedicated sessions on EBRAINS tools and topics are organized with the top level tutors from EBRAINS, on the topic of Brain Atlases, Digital Brain Twins, Collaborative Research, and more.
One interesting project is to use The Virtual Brain tools to develop digital twins of patients with Alzheimer's disease to study the signal flows in response to music-in-medicine protocols.
All participants are joining the 2-day EBRAINS Conference on Community involvement, Education, Innovation and Interoperability, bringing together industry representatives, tool developers and students.
The Summer School will be concluded by the 3-day AccelNet Day & Summit at the Niccolini Theatre and Cherubini Conservatory where science meets art, featuring a neuro-ballet and a neuro-concert! 😎
Together with the students we're constructing a virtual brain of an arts performer: we aim to visualize the signal flows and intra-brain synchrony in real time during the performance.
